Ohio’s Fundraiser to Support Early Literacy

The Rotary District Governors selected Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio as the statewide nonprofit organization for this year’s campaign. Rotary for Reading 2026 is a powerful new fundraiser bringing Ohio Rotarians together to support early childhood literacy from January 2026 through noon on March 14, 2026.

Each year, Rotary District Governors choose one nonprofit to support through a friendly statewide fundraising competition. For 2026, Rotary leaders set a goal of $250,000 to help children across Ohio build home libraries and develop a lifelong love of reading.

This is the first year Rotarians can direct their donations back to their own communities. Donations made at the club level support the county where the club is located, while district level donations are shared across all counties in that district.

Every gift helps provide high quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

All Rotarians across Ohio are encouraged to donate and invite friends, family, and local businesses to support the campaign.

Fundraising progress can be tracked in real time at https://givebutter.com/OhioRotary, where districts and clubs can view their totals as the competition unfolds. The winning district will be announced at the President Elect Training Seminar (PETS), scheduled March 13 and 14, 2026.
