Joyful Literacy

Step away from the hard times for a moment to experience joyful literacy. With everything we’ve been going through, sometimes students (and teachers) just need to have a positive experience with writing, one that brings smiles and confidence.  Remember how to have fun with writing in your classroom! Practice collaborative and independent writing activities that will bring smiles to you and your students’ faces. Activities will include: collaborative playwriting and story games, place-based descriptive writing, and using figurative language to celebrate students’ strengths with poetry.
