The Literacy Cooperative offers a diverse menu of sessions for literacy practitioners, volunteer tutors, and other cross-sector professionals. The Cooperative’s  focus areas of early literacy, 2gen or family literacy, and career pathways are reflected in these offerings, which cover best practices & relevant issues.

Explore our upcoming professional development live sessions and access our range of on-demand professional development below. Participants can receive a certificate from The Literacy Cooperative for completing either live or on-demand sessions and submitting an evaluation survey.

On-Demand Professional Development

The Literacy Cooperative provides a variety of professional development sessions on demand. Each session consists of a recorded video with questions integrated throughout the video. You can pause and revisit the courses at your convenience. Upon completion of each on-demand session, and submitting an evaluation survey, you will receive a certificate of participation via email.

Pre-K Teacher Academy: Celebrating Early Childhood Education

This annual in-person event features keynote speakers, community resource sharing, and networking for early learning professionals. Our next live event will be held at the Educational Services Center of Northeast Ohio on November 1, 2024.

K-2 Teacher Academy: Showcasing Creativity & Results in Primary Education

This was a professional development series for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade teachers designed to feature outstanding teaching. Educators demonstrate their creative strategies to their peers across districts, inspiring educators, and contributing to teacher effectiveness.
