Yes . . . and.  How Improv Changes Everything!

Actors use training in improvisation to sharpen their skills. They want to be able to respond in the moment in the most skillful way without preparing or rehearsing for that particular situation. It gives them an edge in being creative and flexible. What does Improv have to do with you? With the programs where you work?

We can use improvisation techniques to promote creativity, skillful listening, and presence which are vital to our ability to relate to information and to each other.

In this session, you will:
*Discover how you communicate and what changes in approach can make you more approachable, responsive, and collaborative.

*Practice Improv techniques and see how it encourages flexibility, listening, and “being in the moment”

*Get ideas for games and activities you can use to share to help improve creativity.

PRESENTER: Amy Cosgrove, Experient

Amy has been a learning professional since 2001. With a BA in Psychology she went on to complete a M.Ed. in Adult Learning & Development, and made a transition from non-profit to corporate learning in 2012.

Currently Amy is the Learning & Development partner at Experient, a meeting and event planning organization in Twinsburg. She does a copious amount of content development and delivery both virtually and in-person.

Amy has participated in local improv classes and done extensive research on how it can be utilized in business and learning programs. She loves to experiment in the classroom with improv techniques to promote engagement and creativity.
