Literacy Strategies for Active Engagement

These strategies work! In this session, participants will be actively engaged in 5 to 6 literacy strategies that can be used with any content area. The trainer, Andrew Pinney will act as the teacher, modeling each strategy. He has a wealth of information and experiences to share with you. Examples from a variety of learner groups and content areas will be shared.

These strategies will demonstrate how to

  • assess prior knowledge,
  • build interest, and
  • differentiate instruction.
