Teaching in a Virtual Environment

Many of us have transitioned to synchronous online teaching and are learning to navigate video platforms while developing ways to communicate content and seeking to keep students engaged.

In this workshop, we will discuss best practices for online synchronous teaching using a free zoom account and take a look at select apps and websites that help us
(1) communicate content,
(2) create an interactive learning environment and
(3) assess student progress.

We will discuss and sample apps/websites like Zoom, Kahoot!, Screencast-O-matic, Flipgrid, and Google Docs which are available for use on a laptop, Chromebook or smartphone.

You do not have to be a tech whiz to attend this session! Just create a free Zoom account before the training and join us.
