Celebrating Cleveland’s 230th Year

and Joan Spoerl!

The Literacy Cooperative is proud to join One Cleveland, a citywide campaign led by Cleveland Public Library celebrating Cleveland’s 230th year and the people who help shape our community.

Through storytelling, partnerships, and shared experiences, One Cleveland recognizes individuals whose work, leadership, and impact reflect the spirit and strength of our city. Since May 2026, new members of the Cleveland 230 have been unveiled and honored each day.

We are excited to share that Joan Spoerl, Director of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Cuyahoga County at The Literacy Cooperative, has been recognized as a Cleveland 230 honoree for her dedication to advancing literacy and supporting families across our community.
