The Read Across America Celebration is The Literacy Cooperative’s annual event that brings community members together to celebrate the power of literacy and inspire action. Each spring, this high-impact evening features an engaging keynote speaker, powerful stories from families, and recognition of local literacy champions.
Together, we are building a more literate, connected, and empowered community.
On April 23, 2026, The Literacy Cooperative celebrated the 10th Annual Read Across America Celebration as well as recognized 20 years of leadership by The Literacy Cooperative with special guest Randell McShepard in conversation with Dan Moulthrop. Other exciting highlights were the presentation of the 5th Kurt Karakul Literacy Award to Lake Erie Ink and testimonials from families impacted by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
