The Literacy Cooperative is looking for community voices to help shape our 11th annual CLE Bee!
Whether you are a public figure, educator, business leader, advocate, community leader, or passionate supporter of literacy, we invite you to express interest in participating in future Literacy Cooperative events with the form below for a chance of being a part of the event.
Celebrity Word Readers
CLE Bee is an adult team spelling bee and The Literacy Cooperative’s largest fundraiser! The event brings together spelling, spirited competition, and moments that spotlight the power of literacy in our community.
Celebrity Word Readers are community-connected individuals across Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga County who contribute to the CLE Bee by pronouncing words for the competitors.
Past participants have included leaders such as Jamar Ramig, Dick Pogue, and Tim Misny, and many more!
Participation is simple:
- Complete the form below
- Coordinate a time to record a short video
- Introduce a spelling word
- Use the word in a sentence
- Help make literacy fun and memorable for participants
Event attendance is not required, but we’d love to see you there!
Guest Speakers
Guest Speakers are individuals who can share would like to share their firsthand stories about the impact of literacy in their lives and The Literacy Cooperative’s work. This may include Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library families, educators who have participated in Teacher Academy, literacy advocates, community supporters, volunteers, and donors whose experiences help bring our mission to life.
