Our February 2026 Recap

From partners expanding access to children’s books to educators coming together for professional learning, our February reflected growing momentum for literacy across Cuyahoga County! Check out the highlights from February 2026:

  • Family Connections visited our office to pick up returned books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to distribute throughout Family Playrooms.
  • Director of Imagination Library Joan Spoerl shared the impact of Imagination Library during a visit with the Hillcrest Sunrise Rotary Club.
  • Volunteers supported families through three peeling parties. Thank you to Citizens, Cerity Partners, and Friends of Literacy for helping prepare books for children across Cuyahoga County!
  • We hosted our first Adult Education Professional Development Day with community partners at Cuyahoga County Public Library Parma-Snow Branch, bringing educators together for learning and collaboration.
  • Professional Development‘s final session of the Reading Instruction Series with Dr. Carmine Stewart concluded, supporting educators in strengthening literacy instruction.
  • We released our 2025 Imagination Library Participant Survey, reinforcing the strong impact of books on children locally.
  • Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library celebrated its highest number of newborn enrollments to date and released a new international study highlighting the positive impact of receiving books from birth.

We are grateful to the educators, volunteers, partners, and families who continue to support literacy across Cuyahoga County. Together, we are helping literacy open doors across our community!
